TOENAIL REMOVAL PROCEDURE

For nail extraction, we place anesthesia to prevent pain. We then loosen the skin surrounding the nail (nail folds) and separate the nail from the skin using an instrument placed under the nail. If only part of the nail is affected, only the affected part will be removed.

Complete healing takes 2 to 3 weeks but does not interfere with most activities. If the entire nail is removed, the body will generate a layer of hard skin in its place. After the skin covers the sensitive area, you can return to your normal activities.
